I hate Christians even though I am a believer of the teachings of Christ
Edited on Thu Dec-23-04 03:27 PM by noahmijo
I doubt I'm the only one who feels that way.

Really though I can't tolerate these phonies anymore. Look I'm no angel I know that, but I admit it, I admit I lose my temper to often with morons especially at work. I work in retail and all the time I get these rich white Christians who have nothing better to do than to scowl and try to pick fights because THEY broke their damn computer they were too cheap to protect it, and now it's MY fault that I can't fix it for them in the same time it takes Jesus to forgive their hundred sins for the day.

Then the way they brandish their religion so menancingly everywhere they go with their intimidating stickers that show that little "Truth" fish eating the Darwin won. Oh so you're right and anyone who disagees is wrong because your stationwagon says so huh yokel?

Look there are radical fanatics in any religion, every religion has its LARGE share of shit they need to clean up, I'm not gonna act like the Muslims don't need a little reforming themselves, but so far I have yet to ask a Muslim to get the hell off my porch or accost me while I'm just trying to make it to my next class.

Oh 9-11? Well while Clinton was trying to take the extremist Wahabists down, you good Christians were screaming "No War for Monica! No War for Monica!" back then Muslims were okay right? when we funded the Pakistani ISI which funded the Mujahadeen against the Soviets, when Marty Miller, CEO of Unocal had the fucking Taliban ministry to his home in Austin Texas Muslims, even radical ones were cool right? so get the fuck outta here with this neo-crusade bullshit you hateful Christians are using to justify the war in Iraq. We had the enemy targeted, the Islamic extremists, we had friendly Muslims like Massoud who BEGGED Washington DC to assist his Northern Alliance long before 9-11 against the Taliban but Christian Republicans said "NO WAR FOR MONICA"! and REFUSED to do anything but burden the war on terror.

So Christian Republicans are weak on the war on terror that's why I will never vote for a Republican when it comes to national security or any other issue for that matter.

Thing is I read the bible, I wear a cross around my neck but I would never dare call myself a member of the flock. If I attend a church and the priest is spewing anything even close to hatred of a certain group I will step up and say that he's nothing but a man not an immortal and is no worthy of judgement upon anyone and that he has corrupted the institution of God.

The hypocracy is what really drives me insane. These people make me look conservative when it comes to their sex habits. Sure I live in sin but with a girl I love very much and whom I adore more than anything in the world. I'd never cheat on her never hit her or even look at her in an intimidating way.

These cross kneeling freaks I've seen them publically scold their women, heard of them beating their women in front of the children, pumping this whole "I do it in the name of God" bullshit when really they are trying to cover up the fact that they are pansie ass punks who never been in a real fight and should one come their way, one worthy of engagment they would turn and run like the cowards they are.

Women I'm sorry are not free of this hypocracy either. I've seen "good Christian women" booze themselves out at parties, whore themselves out like cheap backalley sluts. I've seen them say "God bless you!" and slap their kid moments later when the kid is simply being a kid and maybe wandering a little too far (and they wouldn't have done that had you been paying attention to kid in the first place!)

For all you swinger types saying "But Noah! I'm a swinger baby! but I don't impose my vision of morality on you!" this is not a knock against you, if that's your thing that's your thing, but I just cannot stand those so called Christians that take part in that sort of debauchery and then claim moral authority on me that's all I am saying.

I don't care if you screw around with 3 different people a day, someone of the same sex, whatever just don't lecture me on how I should behave in that area okay?

What have the Christians done to Christmas? it's supposed to be a time where you make up with family or get closer to them, share more moments of gratefulness with them that you are all alive and together and not seperated, it's a time where you help out the poor and if you are a Christian you celebrate the birth of Christ.

To hell with Christ's birth though, what concerns me is are the lines going to be long at x retail store today because little Jimmy NEEDS Grand Theft Auto for Christmas dammit! praise Jay-sus! there is a sale on diamonds this week! Look boy I need this computer to be fixed up NOW cause it's a Christmas present and it MUST be done! aww who cares if I am driving too fast and endangering the lives of everyone around me I must get to the mall and FAST! because all them good sales will be gone!

Look I enjoy the German inspired version of Christmas with the tree and the coco and everything as much as anyone, but seriously when did it become Consumer Day? this is not what Christmas is about and you so called Christians should know that.

On abortion I am totally pro-life. I believe a woman has a right to choose whether or not she is ready to have a child and sacrifice both her life and the child's life due to one moment of reckless decision making or a moment of terror (rape).

Believe it or not all you so called good Christian men out there who call yourselves pro-life no you are just anti-women. See while the women have to bear the burden of your lowlife ass lying to them just so you can screw them and then run off, they can't just do that. They have to bear a severe and painful responsibility which in part can be their fault too, however they are FORCED to deal with it while you can run away like the coward you are.

BTW you cannot call yourself pro-life and support ANY war or the death penalty it doesn't work that way. I personally only support violence and/or war if any force is directly attacking and endangering my right and your right to live and it's not based on a hunch. It's based on the bastards saying they are going to kill us all or they're leveling AK-47's at us.

I'm sure I haven't said anything all of you have known, but really I never really felt this much well hatred yes HATRED for the self calling Christian public. They are not human to me. They are self named Gods who believe the universe revolves around them and their ways when millions upon millions of us differ totally in thought and opinion.

You know what they are? they are the people whom if Jesus came back to life, they'd order him nailed back onto the cross for daring to preach peace, tolerance, and true justice instead of hate and greed which are the values of Christian America today.

Christ was a victim of government imposed death penalty. Tell that to any Bush Christian and watch them just stare at the ground because they know it's true.

Don't get me wrong, you get some serial killer who likes to knock off whole familes for a hobby, he'd get no sympathy from me, I'd have no issue about pumping a slug into the maniac should he try to harm me or my family, but govt imposed death penalty takes innocent lives and that to me makes it unacceptable.

The only time a person has the right to take a life is when at the very moment the other person is posing a direct threat on self or those around.

Athesists out there who feel the same way about fake Christians, funnily as a person who follows the religion of Christ I fully understand why you feel the way you do, I would hang with you people any day of the week as opposed to the hypocrites who claim to share the same beliefs as I do.

Well that's that, at present when things start to smooth out as far as my plans for post graduation and so forth I may look to move to a blue state like Washington in an area that does not share hateful Christian values or any hateful values based on any religion. I understand they are everywhere you go, but surely there must be parts where it is not as dominant as I see it out here in Arizona.

Well thanks for letting me rant, happy holidays to everyone on here at DU regardless of what your faith or beliefs may be.

1. Hate is such a strong word.
You really hate them, or do they just annoy you?

2. I agree
I am sick of in-your-face phony "Christians" who say they are pro-life while supporting a war that is killing thousands of people. I'm absolutely sick of it. And no, I don't think HATE is too strong a word for what I see day in and day out here in Texas.

3. Yeah I gotta admit, I hate people like that
I hate people who talk about being believers in christ and the all mighty, but then all they do is look down on others. I hate it, Christianity like all religions isn't about hate and intolerance but abouve love and tolerance. Why must we see people like Robertson and Falwell talking hate on TV instead of real christians being selfless and helping out the less fortunate of the world.

4. I am tired of them too. I am tired of the in-your-face, I'm-right-you're
wrong crap that festered up somehow into our religion. I don't need a church anymore, though I miss it. I have God and Jesus in my heart and I KNOW what you mean. I am soooooo tired of people telling me that they got their truck, hard loan and all, because Jesus or God made a work happen. For god sake. It gets soosoosososososososososossoooooooooooooooo
tiresome.

I think hypocracy should be the greatest mortal sin.

I wonder if it was really a lie they told someone that got someone to give them a better deal.

you're still going to find the same old crap anywhere you go.

I suggest you get out of retail. Perhaps you can get a job a local AIDS foundation. Christians don't even drive past those even though AIDS is the new lepracy.

It's just a stepping stone to build up some cash in order to pay for advanced training to be a Network Engineer or something around those lines. I just graduated college and in this booming economy we have jobs are scarce so I just had to pretty much take what I could get in order to start paying off debts.

... Because I believe in the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth.

To be a Christian one must be Christ like. Very few people correctly label themselves as such. There are 'Christians,' and then there are, 'followers of Christ,' (many of which are horribly misguided or are just usurping the 'Christian' title). Jesus' teachings reveal he would not hate the exception of the latter.

Gandhi was Hindu, and far more 'Christian' than most people through history.

I'm Atheist; I strive to be Christ like ... and Gandhi like.

Edit: I know where you're coming from and hypocrisy pisses me off too. Makes me wish blunt, even rude, honesty wasn't so taboo in our culture. It's sad when whitewashing a misdeed is more revered than speaking a slightly uncomfortable truth.

28. Tucson the "liberal" part of Arizona according to everyone I talk to
The only reason people consider Tucson to be liberal I think is because for one by about 10% the vote went to Kerry, but still, compared to REAL liberal areas like Seattle or any major city it's still a neo-con bastion overall, it's just that down here they get more resistance than up there in Phoenix I think,

30. Tucson really does suck.
I went there last Friday to see the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and realized that if Phoenix were to take a crap... out pops Tucson.

Anyway, try coming up here to Pastor country, AZ 04. I think there's some hope for AZ, but a little bit of gerrymandering is stifling us:

Anyway, urban revitalization and higher population densities usually result in gains for us, and there's some projects going on in downtown Phoenix and Scottsdale which might boost that.

Anyway, you should at least stay until 2006-- we need all the votes we can get to keep Napolitano and oust Kyl.

19. I once heard someone say that "Christianity is a crutch....
...And believers have a bad habit of using that crutch to beat over the heads of people who don't agree with them."

Nothing wrong with Christianity in itself, or people that truly live like that. But if you're looking at porno, drinking and smoking, and talking about how we should "nuke" whatever country or group of people you happen to be pissed at, don't shove your hypocrisy in my face.

Would you ever say you "hate Jews" or "hate Muslims"?

Hating an entire group of people is bigotry. It's a sin.

I suggest you get over it.

I know plenty of Christians who are good people -- which goes without saying.
