3. No....You are not alone...
The traffic is much better at Thanksgiving and the pressure is MUCH less. I pity parents with children this month-you guys deserve a medal just for surviving.

4. I love Christmas as long as I avoid the malls. My kids come
home; we do a lot together; my church has beautiful music and a wonderful midnight mass; I find special family "things" and give them to the children. All my children are in their thirties. We are having an open house Christmas Day so we can see our friends. I love to see the friends of my children as much as my own friends. The list goes on and on. I refuse to let the fundies and the evangelicals ruin my Christmas and my faith; those bigots are not followers of Jesus.

7. I like the Fourth of July
Nicer weather. Grilled food outdoors. And fireworks.

8. Not alone. Thanksgiving is about spending time with family
eating, except for the travelling and the cooking, there's very little pressure. There's none of this Happy Chriskwanzakka stuff, or the awful t.v. specials, bad Xmas albums, and last of all, the Buy, Buy, BUY pressure. I like giving, it's not a chore...but people seem so crazed about it (saw a parking lot outside of Walmart today--peace on earth--but that's my parking spot pal!)
