TOP CHRISTMAS SONGS

HOLIDAY SPECIAL - Here are the results of a Christmas survey that Roger Ford did a few years ago among the members of the 1950s music newsgroup. Voters were encouraged to vote only for records that were from the NG's era, and only by the artists that are discussed in the group, so there are virtually no records listed that are from after 1963.

CHRISTMAS RECORDS POLL RESULTS - DECEMBER 2001

Each participating member ranked his top 6 Christmas songs in order, from # 1 to # 6, and the results were then tabulated, with 6 points being awarded to each #1 choice,5 points for a
#2 choice and so on.

Each record is shown with the point total it achieved. In the case of "ties" the position in the listing is shared.

Votes for more than one version of a song by the same artist (example: Nat Cole's "The Christmas Song" which was re-recorded by Nat himself) were all tabulated together under a single entry.

2. I like Louis Prima myself.
I eat antipasto twice just because she is so nice, Angelina.
