Yup the Newfies are gonna allow same sex marriage! And ALBERTA still won't...Ralph...when the Newfies are whoing you up..it's time to re-think your position.

(Same-Sex-Nfld)
The Supreme Court in Newfoundland has ruled that two lesbian couples -- and all same-sex couples in the province -- can marry legally.
Today's ruling makes Newfoundland and Labrador the seventh province to sanction same-sex marriage.
The Supreme Court of Canada recently ruled Ottawa has sole authority to redefine marriage to include same-sex couples. (14)

2. It's going to be academic for Alberta in a while, anyway.
When same-sex marriage is federal.

Congratulations, gay Canadians. Actually, ALL of Canada. This will benefit marriage as a whole.

It seems Alberta is not as monolithic as the premier would like.

I hope Klein's positions don't forever tar Alberta's image. It's a very slim majority that oppose same sex marriage (47% vs 43%). As an Albertan, I'm embarassed by my premier.

4. Ralph has already tarred and feathered our image
"Morally wrong"? This is the idgit who insulted and picked a fight with the homeless in a shelter while stinkin drunk? who insulted disabled people? who plagarised a large part of an essay for his degree while premier? this is a guy whose cuts to health and social services have resulted in how many deaths? how many homeless? how much poverty?

Since when is he the bastion of 'morality'? :grr:
