What's the Coldest Weather You Ever Swam In An Outdoor Unheated Pool?

I have went swimming when the temperature was in the 40's..


I plan on going for a swim this afternoon after I work out...


The temp will be in the 50's

Not the 'official' Polar Bear swim, though. We just found an open spot in the ice near shore, then stripped down and jumped in.

And yes, I was drunk at the time. Why do you ask? :evilgrin:

I noticed on that occasion that you can't really tell the difference between swimming in 45 degrees and swimming in 33 degrees. Both knock the wind out of you as soon as the water hits your torso. (windchill is worse at 33 degrees, but I didn't really notice -- both are just 'fr*ckin cold!')
