Any Jules Shear fans out there?

I'm listening to "The Great Puzzle", his 1992 release. God, I've forgotten how good this album is.

Did Jules & The Polar Bears ever get released on CD? I loved "Good Reason" off of "Phonetics".

1. Wasn't he the first MTV Unplugged?

I remember it was originally 2 fairly esoteric and obscure artists who did the first edition of that. Funny then that it became such a cash cow for large industry wh*re artists to make a quick album to cash in on.

and before it became lame bands playing their lame song with acoustic guitars instead of electric guitars.

3. I have one of his cd's, just guitar and voice, acoustic

with the guy from the Church playing guitar.

can't remember the name, but really raw, pared down, emotional songs.
