Which cell phone service should I decide on?
I'm deciding between Cincinnati Bell and Verizon. Both plans have the same amount of minutes, coverages and cost the same. The only difference between the two, Cin bell doesn't require a contract, while verizon does. Because of that, I am leaning towards Cin Bell. But before making any decisions, I would like to hear ya guys experiences with the companies..... thanks

1. I've had decent luck with Verizon
but that no contract thing sounds good.

I guess it would depend on Cin Bell's network and dropped calls etc..

2. I would avoid a contract at all costs
A friend had to cancel her contract, and they tried to get over $700 from her. It's a rip off.

I just got a TracFone, which is one of the ones you buy and put minutes from a card on it. No other fees, no other anything, except to pay for the minutes as I use them. It's perfect for emergencies, and for quick calls to let people know I'm okay and stuff.

3. find out what your friends and family are on
and go with that. we recently switched from t-mobile to cingular. The plan is not as good, but everyone my wife and I call are also on cingular, so we never go over on our minutes.

6. Something else I've noticed about Cingular;
They seem to have more towers, so there are fewer times that you're without a signal. This doesn't matter if you don't travel much, though. My husband's work phone is either Verizon or T-Mobile, and when he goes hunting in the panhandle he takes my Cingular phone so he can still make and receive phone calls. I've been very happy with Cingular all around.

4. Verizon is a big Republican donor...

I don't know about Cin Bell.

T-Mobile is a Dem contributor. I vote for them if it's available where you are.

5. Verizon hooks 'em in here.
Get your Verizon fone at the Kiosk or Tandy-Toys, and then try to get rid of the damn thing when you find out it won't work out in University Farms or the NW end of the campus...

I carry a Simplefreedom fone. 25 cents a minute, and they roll over if I don't use them in 60 days.

plague.

I've heard nothing but bad things about Sprint, especially with billing. Shit reception quality too. Had problems with them myself in regards to both quality and billing.

Verizon, I've found, to have a great service and great reception. What's not to like?
