But there are Bill Murray movies (i.e., star vehicles), and then there are movies with Bill Murray in the ensemble. Royal T'baums is definitely the latter.

And the best dysfunctional family comedy I've ever seen.

Murray made this film as part of a package where he made a comedy (stripes or something) and they financed Razor's edge. -- a fairly serious and tragic but wonderful and spiritual and sexy movie based on the Maugham experience among the spiritual monks of the himalayas

Lost in Translation did over 2million in business last weekend and it was only in 183 theaters. Most mainstream movies do about 2000-3000 opening weekend. But the movie has rave reviews and Oscar buzz and it's starring - Bill Murray

I saw it last week and LOVED it! Can't wait to get the DVD! It's a definitely different movie for him. There's funny stuff in it, but it's not a comedy (in spite of the commercials). Bill Murray has proven that he is an ACTOR. Pretty damn good for an SNL alumnus.

He was funny on the old SNL but ever since he went into movies he just has this same sort of sarcastic "aint' I cool" droll persona that drives me crazy. He's the same in every movie - sometimes more active than others but, basically, the same. I thought Rushmore was the worst movie I ever saw and walked out which I never do but it was so rotten - well, I walked out.

It wasn't as good as "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas," but I thought Bill did a great job as Dr. Hunter S. Thompson.

Oh, and ditto on the Ghostbusters thing -- heck of an oversight there.
