Who out there remembers The Strawbs?
I'm listening to "From The Witchwood" now. Some day I will listen to present-day music. No I won't - it's horrible. Except for some folk artists.

1. Not too into their later stuff, but I sorta enjoyed their early sessions
with Sandy Denny on vox. For English Isles folk-rock, I gotta stick with Fairport, early Steeleye, and Mellow Candle.

4. My best friend in college was a HUGE fan
I liked them up through Bursting At The Seams. Now, of course, you have forced me to listen to "Maddy Groves." :)

3. Saw them a few weeks ago
at McCabes. I wasn't really into them in the '70s, but as old-timers they put on a good show. I would recommend catching them on tour. Saw them as warm-up to King Crimson in 1974 or so. Don't remember much...

5. "Bursting At The Seams" is one of my favorite albums.
"Part of the Union" "Lay Down" , great prog-rock!
