I just found out my mother-in-law voted for *
"I've never voted Republican in my life, except this year" Now I have to spend Christmas with her. My husband told her she can write him letters when he is drafted to go to Syria- she flipped! Just posted for sympathy!

2. Sometimes...
Smacking people around with the rality of their actions is the kindest thing you can do.

Good on hubby. He's got bottle.

19. Exactly! Think of all the Dems she has voted for!
She said she couldn't trust Kerry. I am speechless. And angry, because she also said she didn't know anyhting about him, yet we were VERY into the campaign and if she had wanted to know anything we would have been glad to talk to her about it. Social Security, Environment for her grandkids, the war, the deficit, the poor, our schools, the draft, the fascism...I don't know how I will talk to her over Christmas. It is one thing for the Reps to vote for *, but she has been a lifelong DEM!!! Much worse in my opinion

11. He lives off of his military pension which is pretty large
he was a full col. when he retired and he has "Investments" . There is no talking to him at all and he thinks he's so damn funny. My husband is the only sane member of his family.

12. If he had any sense

he'd realize that the bush deficit induced devaluation is worse than any tax hike in history.
He's not gaining anything with juniors tax cuts, just losing more.

5. My mom and my sis did too
My sister is in the Air Force and has been to Dessert Shield/Storm, Afghanastan and Iraq. She has a 4-year-old son whom she has to leave with my mom. My mom is getting to old to raise a kid and she gets upset when my sis leaves because it's hard on her and the son.

And still, they vote for **.

13. Why did your sister stay in the Air Force when she had the child---
didn't she realize that something like this might happen?

What about the little boy's father---can't he help out?

18. Dad is a crackhead; Sis is just too lazy to look for a job
She's only worked one civilian job in her life. In the AF, she has it pretty easy. She doesn't have to think or make too many decisions.

My sister is an idiot. I guess that is what I'm trying to say. ;)

7. I love what your husband said to her.
Why this year? What caused her to do that this year? Doesn't she like social security? Does she want to beg one of Jerry Farwell's henchmen to get it?

15. I truly don't understand ...
I work with some pretty bright people. I mean, SMART.
And there is a plethora of W04 stickers in the parking lot.

I guess I can see them voting for him in 2000 just because he was the GOP nominee ... but now they've had 4 years to really see the dunce in action. HOW could any reasonably intelligent person have voted for him, given the mountains of evidence that show how harmful everything he does to this country has been ?

 I swear, I just don't get it.

:hippie:
