I feel your pain (though I'm a man). That's a sensitive area to have to break in anything with. Much worse than shoes, I'm sure.

Punch line to an old band director joke.

Band director calls the doctor in a panic.
"My oboe player swallowed his reed!! What should I do?" he asks.

The sawbones thinks a few seconds and replies, "just use a muted trumpet".

7. When I was in high school orchestra
Our conductor would hurl his baton at the brass section at least three times during an average practice session. They were fucking horrible. :D
