I wish firewall software would, if an attack was detected, send a 500,000,000,000,000,000 volt shock to the idiot doing the attacking. That would solve the problem of internet crime for good.

Some of the attacks are simply a cookie but many are REAL attacks. All I can say is thank goodness for firewalls.
