I watched 'Ice Castles' today.
Why did I love that movie when I was a kid? It was terrible! And how did an Iowa farm boy have a brooklyn accent?

2. Everything about it was bad
... but being a teenager in Northeast Wisconsin, where skating and hockey were pretty much all we did all winter, and where 'the girls' met 'the guys' ... well, it was like a slice of a fairy tale.

To this day, I am addicted to hockey players. Sigh.
