Anybody else go swimming during Isabel?
I did....at Virginia Beach, between 2 and 6 PM at the height of the storm. Decent waves. The wind was a bit much. The rolling concrete blocks (mostly bowling-ball sized) in the surf hurt my knees. I bet they were piling bits from the Pier. The waves moved me 8 blocks north in under 5 minutes. What was up with all that mocha-looking sea-foam? It's normally white during big storms.

I wish somebody had gone with me so I could have had pictures...

BTW, I'm back in civilization now, where there's electricity. Had to wait in line TWO FREAKING HOURS to buy gas at one of the few open gas stations. Saw a bunch of people stuck at closed gas stations because they were out of gas.
