Yesterday some local troops who are currently in Louisiana awaiting orders to ship out overseas shared Thanksgiving dinner with our esteemed (snort) governor. The news outlets were there interviewing some of the soldiers.
One that I heard said he was thankful for the wonderful meal served, of course, and then he went on to say that he was eager to get to work defending our (Americans') freedoms.
He seemed very enthusiastic, and he seemed very sincere that his mission was to go and defend the freedom of Americans. He really seemed to believe that. It made me wonder if one really *has* to believe that in such a situation, in order to make oneself go do what he'll have to do.
I think these soldiers have been sold a bill of goods, and for that I'm sorry.
