Right now, for some reason, I'm picturing the Chicago Bears doing "The Super Bowl Shuffle."

about football all day, and keep checking college scores.

BTW, did it win?

6. "Ice Ice Baby" did
Though "Superbowl Shuffle" is a far worse video, IMHO. Especially the way they keep popping Jim McMahon into the scene, because he was far too big of a star to attend the taping. :eyes:

Gee, I wonder what he's doing now? :puke:

I think Vanilla Ice had a tatoo a month done on his body since that time. Did you see him on The Surreal World (or was it Life?) People like that don't need to wear clothes they're covered so much.

And it was called "Under Pressure". ;-)

I did see the Surreal World that Mr. Ice was on. The poor man really needs to get over himself and get a sense of humor. Sad, really really sad. :-(

23. In the case of "Ice Ice Baby"
I'm saying the song does far more than just sample "Under Pressure". The thing I really hate about that song is that whenever somebody decides it would be cute to play it on the radio or at a bar, I get all excited when I hear the first few bars, thinking I'm going to hear Freddy Mercury and David Bowie's voices. The disappointment is crushing. :-(

25. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
And I thought the song was entirely ORIGINAL like all songs are!

Yeah, it did more than sample--when "rap" started becoming popular, there were quite a few songs that sampled so much they got sued. Can't recall them at the time, but basically they were stealing just about everything from some older songs!

34. Wow! Really WOW!
Having not lived in Buffalo for so long there are a lot of things that are half or more forgotten.

Then I talk with someone back home, or read a post like yours, and get these ghostly traces of memory of things I didn't even know I remembered.

Thanks for a much appreciated post. And I am personally thrilled to have this particular bit of pop culture in my brain. :-)

64. "Nah, man, we don't want no POGS..."
I remember pogs getting banned from my middle school in 6th grade.

The last time I saw pogs was at "Penguin Video" in Buttzville, NJ about 2 years ago. My friend & I were bored, just driving around (nothing else to do in rural NW NJ) and stopped randomly at a strip mall. Penguin Video was going out of buisiness. They no longer had any videos, but just boxes of Penguin video t-shirts for $0.50 and FREE pogs at the counter. We each bought a couple of shirts and saw the Pogs on the counter.

I was like, "wow, Pogs..." and the poor cashier desperately said, "Take them...they're free." My response, "Nah, man, we don't want no Pogs...."
