Stop it you guys!! I'm laughing so much I've got the hiccups now! Ouch... sometimes it hurts to keep hic-ing.

I'm talking about my Shih-Tzu, Mitzi. We don't EVER hit her to dicipline her. It's all about rewards and affection and establishing who's "top dog" and who's not.

We never even diciplined her for having a poopy accident in the house. You have to catch them IN THE ACT before you can yell at them for doing it. And even then, it's just a stern word and an immediate trip outside to finish. The routine of bringing them over to their poopy mess (when you return from work and 5 hours after the fact) and spanking their hind-quarters after showing them their own poop means NOTHING to them.
