I wanted to jump into the TV and smack Carvey everything he said anything pointless (which was everytime he talked). What an annoying person he was tonight and I used to love his stuff too.

.... that he was supposed to be plugging "Master of Disguise" on DVD, but both he and Jay pointedly avoided talking about the movie.

I've seen it. That's 2 hours of my life I'm not getting back!

Over time, these guys seem to lose touch with their power -- their "stuff," and then they get terrified that they can't deliver the goods any longer (think Dennis Miller), and they fall back on the freeper shtick -- becoming a vocal part of the same machinery into which they once kicked sand.

They'd be better off just disappearing.

13. He was dreadful on Maher's show!

Tim Robbins and Heather Whatever (sorry...her last name is Wilson or Smith or some Waspy name...a Republican representative) were attempting to have a discussion about how the Bush administration has allocated funding for the troops and veterans and Carvey was like some annoying little kid making burping sounds and farting. He clearly wasn't able to discuss politics. So he did tired impressions which weren't relevant or funny. Then when Robbins was talking about death and destruction in Iraq, Carvey did a totally senseless "sexed up" weapons of mass destruction riff on British intelligence which was totally out of place. He kept breaking whatever discussion the other three got going with his unfunny childishness. He was like a smartass middle-school kid trying to interrupt the graduate students' discussion with funny noises. I really loathe him now.
