Driving home from family house - I HEARD MORE COWBELL!!!!
Well barely, but I heard "Don't Fear the Reaper" by Blue Oyster Cult and just yesterday I was reading a DU thread about the 2nd best skit from SNL (My first was Al Gore playing Trent Lott on Hardball) about "Behind the Music with BOC".

All I could think of when I was driving along listening to "Don't Fear the Reaper" was, it really could use more Cowbell!

3. Is that why
on the BOC live DVD - Long Day's Night- on the menu screen part of that song keeps playing, with a cowbell clank-clank-clanking? I wondered why that was. I hadn't heard of the cowbell sketch before.
