The day is still young, they can call up until 9PM.

Wanna know who phone-spams me the most? The damn phone co. itself. Grrrrr
I get fax-spam every day - and hang-ups. I don't even have a fax machine.
and I get spam almost every day from netscape/earthlink trying to sell me antispam software. I have given up complaining to them about it -- I guess it's your turn, now -- thanks for listening.

*But* since I have CallerID, I can tell when they call. If it's an 800 number, I don't pick up. Also, it's a telemarketer if it says like "Ohio" or "Iowa" or something like that.

8. When they call

I always tell them to wait while I answer the door bell,after fifteen or twenty minutes I just hangup.

6. Not today. Not yet, anyway.

You know the ones that bother me the most? I never answer my phone - in fact, the ringer is never even on. Those who know me know enough to say "yoo hoo" to the answering machine until I pick up.

But anyway, the ones that bother me the most are those in which the (recorded) voice says, "This is not a solicitation or a sales call. Please call.." and it leaves a number.. "I repeat..." and it goes through the thing again, never telling who it is!

Now I am not going to waste my valuable time (that I could be spending here on DU) telephoning numbers left by disembodied voices who refuse to tell me who they represent! And I wonder how many people do! Sure, they assure me it's not a solicitation or a sales call - well, what the fuck is it, then? You're calling MY number and expect me to call you back - tell me who the hell you are?

And I'm not on the list because I have no interest in putting my (unlisted) number on yet another list. Not in Bush's Amerika, I won't.
