What are you thankful for?

I am thankful for my parents.

1. My job...

..I love teaching. I'm thankful for children. Hanging with them keeps me young.

I'm also thankful for all us who won't roll over.

8. I am thankful for my children.

We are the proud grandparents of 7 wonderful kids. Only 3 are in anyway related to us. We got that message across and it makes me happy.

2. Healthy, smart children.

And I finally have some stupid job.

However, my parents are self-centered baffoons and I'm in the middle of a divorce, so overall life sucks right now.

Although, I must say my boss is VERY cool.

3. I am thankful

for my kids, my husband and my health. :toast:

4. i'm thankful that my daughter

survived her car accident and for the witnesses who came forward, for the police officer who was already on the scene, and for the fact that the driver who hit her admitted his guilt.

i'm thankful for my job because of the friends i have there.

i'm thankful for DU for keeping me informed, sane, and not quite so isolated.

5. I am thankful for...

my parents and siblings, my nieces and nephew, my living relatives, my friends and neighbors, my kitty cats, that I have a job, a roof over my head and Democratic Underground. :-)

6. Friends and family who love me

A warm house.

A full pantry & freezer to get me through the winter.

My faith that things will get better.

7. I am thankful to have a job that pays a living wage

and allows me to indulge in my gadget habit.

I am thankful that after 23 years away from the midwest my mom moved back to Illinois.

I am thankful for being alive for it truly beats the alternative.

I am thankful for the internets.

I am thankful for DU!!! I would not have survived the election without it. DU in 2004 sure made a loss to Bush easier than no DU as it was in 2000.

9. Many more things than I acknowledge regularly.

But I am thankful for an opportunity to think of some of those things now and share them here. :)

I am thankful for good health, food, clothing and shelter. In fact our home is an apt we moved into recently and is so much nicer than the last place. It's really been a blessing and I am so grateful for it.

I am thankful for my loving, handsome, cool husband that makes me laugh when I least expect it and supports me in ways I never imagined.

I am thankful that I have grown enough as a person to know that I don't have to tolerate less than satisfactory treatment from others. I'm thankful for the wisdom, and ability to walk away from such people and situations when I need to.

I am thankful for Democratic Underground and it's admins. that won't tolerate freepers trying to trounce on our beliefs or being abusive. I'm so thankful I found this place when I did. Thank you for being here DU! :hi:

...my family and friends... the blessing of food and shelter... wild animals... lively work... and DU!

12. They way my children still look like babies when they were sleeping. The

air that swooshes through the room when MrG walks in from work...Jessie laying on my feet making them so numb that I am detached from myself...Merlin purring so loudly that I cannot catch my thoughts...The way the table looks after I wipe it...The many chances I've gotten to be my Grandma's best friend...and so very much more. :hi:
