Sunday I was cleaning house & I leaned over to pick something up & the lens fell out of my glasses. The eye piece & the nose piece broke apart. I was unable to fix it so the lens would stay in & needing new glasses any way I made a appointment with the eye doctor. Yesterday after work I went in for an eye exam & the doctor has the nerve to tell me I need bifocals. Aaaaarrrgggggg I am way too young to be this old.
2. I have been wearing bifocals since I was 8 years old
That was 1969 and all they had then were the kind that had the very obvious line in them. Luckily, most second graders had no idea what that was but the fact that I wore glasses was enough to make me a target - the fact that those glasses looked different from other four eyed childrens' made me an even more tempting target.
My eyesight has not changed to any great degree since then. It's really no big deal and doesn't mean you're old.
4. Thanks! I am getting the no-line bifocals because the worked
the best for me. The doctor did say I did not have to get them, but spending as much time as I do on the computer & being very near sighted it was that or my regular glasses plus computer glasses. I did not want to mess with that. I will be glad when I get my new glasses because I am having to wear some old ones & they are giving me a headache.
