Car question - best strategy for replacing rear corner vent window
(radfringe inspired me to post about my car problems)

It isn't a vent window - but that small window on the rear side that doesn't open. Someone smashed it in the other night.

I have never replaced a car window.

Is it possible to get a replacement at salvage yard and then have someone install it? Or, what is the cheapest way to fix something on an already beatup 10 year old car. I just need to keep the elements out.

1. Buy A Replacement at a Junkyard
Shouldn't be hard to install, but a mechanic can do it just as easily.

3. Some Salvage Yards
Have windows already pulled out, so you don't have to take apart the frame.

Be sure to clean all the marks off before you install - I wish I thought about that eight years ago, when my passenger's side window was smashed out; there are still some marks that can't quite be removed!

5. The Prices, Year, Make and Model Are Written on the Windows
at most junkyards that don't make you strip off the parts yourself.
