I just had an unusual lunch: humpback whale ovaries.

I went to this Chinese place that's popular with the folks from work and because the VP is retiring they wanted to order something special in her honor, so we got the Humpback Whale Ovaries, which serves twelve. They come in this large fondue pot type of thing, and everyone uses a mini harpoon-type fondue fork to spear pieces of ovary, which one puts on rice and rolls in plum sauce. I have to admit I was a bit squeamish at the thought of this, but was reassured that humpback whale ovaries taste just like chicken ovaries. Which it pretty much did. I think I would like to try these breaded and fried, might get some of the fishy taste out of it. Afterwards we all had fried ice cream and took turns talking about the first time we made out with someone. I like the place I work.
