1. Anchovies are part of a Caesar salad. By definition.
Without anchovies, it is not a Caesar salad.

4. Exactly. It's not a ceasar without it.
I was eating a salad at lunch with the paste-flavored dressing. I commented I wanted anchovies and got mixed responses.

6. EXACTLY!!!
Restaurants have changed Caesar dressing so much...it really shouldn't even be called Caesar dressing.

So they changed the name...they call it CREAMY Caesar dressing. As they want to make a load of dressing at once, they make it in a large blender. And when you mix oil like that...it turns into...MAYONAISE! Thats why its "creamy". Plus now a days...they leave out the egg (cuz everybody got on that stupid "no raw egg" thing in the early '90's) and I'm finding that less and less of restaurants are including anchovies.

There is nothing better than a REAL Caesar salad. Unfortunately its next to impossible to find a restaurant that still makes them.

But don't buy that crap about "Creamy Caesar Dressing"...it's just restaurant speak for..."no...we don't have a real Caesar salad here."

2. Gimme some on the pizza, too.
With fresh garlic and a few black olives.

I think about that and I am transported back to happier times: when I lived in the land of some of the best pizza I have ever had. The South of France. They got some good pie there.

5. An integral part of authentic Caesar dressing...
But a bit too salty otherwise...

Like them on pizza, though...
