DU group -- coping with post election depression
Hi, guys,

I hope we have enough people to be interested in this. Since November 2nd, I became more active politically. I thought that will help me from this hopeless feeing. Well, unfortunately, I am still depressed. I have this strong sense of hopelessness whenever I am alone. It is starting bothering me to the point I have trouble working and manage my time. I am a working mom, which means I don't have time to be depressed.

In normal year, this is the time to do all sorts of 'silly traditional stuff'. They may be silly but fun. Now this year, I am seriously concerned about the economy now, plus, I don't feel like spending for Bush economy. The election result tainted every single thing I care and I used to find a joy in...

Since I could not find any of these types of support DU Group, I would like to suggest one.

1. Sorry you're so depressed hertopos
I was too, still am I guess, but it got better when I got more busy with school Now I just feel sad about what could very well happen, and that I am powerless to change anything but me.

Someone sent this to me last night, see if you relate to it....

3. Thanks for that link! I had Fiore on my favorites until my computer
crashed late last winter, and then I couldn't remember any part of his name except the 'f' to get it back. He does great stuff. I loved the "Son of a Mill Worker" routine.

I have never seen his stuff before, but I'm glad he created this one.

5. If you have the money, don't worry about "aiding" the Bush economy ...
use it to make your loved ones and yourself happy. The holidays are about you guys, not the Republicans.

If you don't have, or don't want to spend the money there are ways to celebrate the good things in your life. If you're religious, go caroling. If not, volunteer your time at a soup kitchen. Make cookies, attend school functions, drive around the neighborhood and look at the lights.

Remember, it's not about "them" - there's still a lot of good in this country and we all need to open ourselves to share in it.

6. Yep, I was depressed too
Now I'm just pissed off. I'm determined to stay active and to work hard to get our two republican senators here in TN out of office...esp. Bill Frist (if he does run again...he supposedly said he wouldn't seek another term).
