In most public schools, kids with severe physical or mental disability are picked up from their homes and dropped off at school by 10-20 passenger, handicapped accessible busses...aks "the short busses". When you accuse someone of riding the "short bus" you're essentially accusing them of being mentally handicapped.

I had this discussion with a few people way back when I picked this username. My bus route was serviced by the short bus, because there were only maybe 7 or 8 of us who lived so far out in the sticks. And I'm fucking BRILLIANT! ;-)
