I need an AOL intervention....
I really need to get away from this imbecile of an IP....which is definitely a bottom feeder for the computer challenged.

Would love to hear from recovering AOL addicts, especially, where do you go next.

1. Doesn't matter where you go, but HEED THIS.
When you finally get rid of the damned thing...RUN A SEARCH on your entire computer and find all the AOL files and delete them. The fucking program imbeds itself in almost all areas of your computer. It's ridiculous how many places it will pop up. It took me almost 3 months to get it ALL off my computer.

I'll never go back!

2. There are so many better options
I know folks got sucked into AOL years ago and find change difficult but it really will be ok......Go ahead, be brave and just do it. I know a few folks who like Earthlink.

6. Earthlink this year outsourced about 800 jobs to India. 400 of
them were a few miles from here (York Pa). I wouldn't go Earthlink unless they were the last possibility.

3. Go with this IP
They are an eco-friendly site that actually does some good. They also have DSL for faster on-line options. Plus, you would be giving one of our own some business. They're at: http://www.redjellyfish.com/

4. Never had the AOL bug
but when my ISP started getting too many false positives in its spam filter, I asked around, and wound up with "Speakeasy". Didn't check into their politics, but their service is good.

8. So far so good, but still......
...I'm middle aged and lazy, the kids are grown and gone, and AOL really creeps me out. I'm computer/techno challenged, need something simple....but not too simple, I want to still come here :toast:
