1. What a weird poll.
I went with Muddy Waters, but I think these 3 up against each other is very strange.

3. Without McKinley Morganfield
there would be no Beatles or Dylan or any other Rock 'n Roll bands. Muddy and his contemporaries started Rock music. "The Blues had a Baby and they named it Rock and Roll". The Rolling Stones actually took their name from a Muddy Waters tune.

8. no one needs that many
just the opinion of one drumming minimalist. I have to show that thread to my friend the Dream Theater freak. He thinks that guy is the best drummer ever. Have to say, it's more likely to be a jazz guy, but that's just my bias. :)

Hi RQ what's going on?

13. we were all sick, it was no fun
the * flu, we called it. I was canvassing every weekend and now I have to decide how to use that time better. A friend of mine here played me some durmming by the DT drummer, it was pretty impressive with all the pedal hits and the speed. That was something. I'll take Art Blakey, though.

6. Muddy was the best player-but, "it's the words, man."
Bob Dylan made The Beatles a better band just by association.

11. It was a hard time, but I finally decided: Dylan
Perhaps because when I started listening it was all Beatles and Stones and Dylan, and hardly Waters here in Germany.
