The Rats Are Deserting The Ship
Apparantly, Colin Powell, Energy Secretary Abrahams and USDA chief Beneman all tentered their resignations today.

Do they know something WE don't know?

2. Before the election, absolutely nobody was leaving,
but now it's a question of who is staying.

3. Not that uncommon really.
I think we turned over half of the cabinet with Clinton's second term (might have been as high as 8 of 14??) and I think Reagan was just as high.

4. Not an uncommon thing. Most officials see their tenure in DC
as strictly a steppingstone to bigger and better things in the private sector. When they initially accept a position in Washington, they're already thinking of leaving in a few years.

5. I also think ...
that these people are more surprised than we are that AWOL even came close in the election (let alone win it). They know he is an ignorant baffoon, and figured that the American people were too smart to keep this idiot in power.

Granted, they are going to leave for the private sector, but they never dreamed AWOL would actually get elected again.

They also want to get out because they don't want to be associated with the utter failure of this adminstration (which is now in high gear).

Cheers
Drifter

6. Rove probably told em they're not RW enough to fit in
to the "new" Smirky dynasty. I hate to see what will develop after they clean house at CIA.

7. So when is Condi leaving?
She's quite possibly the most incompetent of all of Bush's cabinet yet she's still has a job.

8. You might have answered your own question.
She probably knows she couldn't get another gig as good as the one she has anywhere else.

10. Dang!
That plus Rumsfeld and the Commerce Secretary and Ashcroft and some CIA guys, DAMN.

I can't wait to watch almost his entire cabinet resign.

Can they not take the heat of the hardcore regressive neocon policies and politics?
