1. Do not sweat it.

I have seen the most inane poorly spelled ca-ca from folks with 20,000 posts and been brought to tears by the most eloquent writings from a newbie with a post count of 12.

At 200 plus posts, I would not say you are a newbie. Glad you are here. Glad you are adding your voice to the lounge and any of the other forums you feel the need to!

seems like it happens most when you challenge high-post-count users.

eh... it's worth it though... I still have some people posting "Welcome to DU" in threads I start, which is really nice and takes the sting out of being called a freeptroll.
