Seeking Contributions to "Kuisine for Students, Campaign Staff & Interns"
I am looking for suggestions on foods for student pantries and recipes for an awakening epicurean, please share them.

What foods saved you when the money ran out before the month?

What cooking as a student anticipated interests for real food?

Here are examples of the areas and the sort of titles I am looking for...

Aromatic popcorns...

Geographic guide to edible Lawn Greens...

Quick and Hearty Soups:
Mashed Potato soup (aka cold gray soup with parsley flakes)...
Savory stone soup

Ketchup Sauces/Pasta dishes...
Mrs Dashes 60 second spagetti

Meats and other Entrees:
Curried baloney scallops
Microwaved chicken wings in peanut butter sauce...
Hamburger N'ecoli

Helpful hints on hiding the taste of outdated meats..

side dishes:
Picanteed Rice (this is a favorite of mine!!)...
Spagetti mozaica (spagetti broken into 1/2" pieces with dry herbs)

deserts:
Allspice & Soda cracker pie...

1. Ketchup soup
Used to pocket as many of those "heinz" ketchup packets as I could from the cafeteria and mix them with hot water from the tea dispenser. With enough salt and pepper (also free) it was.....uuummmm...okay.

2. Does it matter if the ketchup PC is in plastic or foil?
We don't want the users to forage for the wrong stuff.

depends on what cooking equipment and utensils you have available. Are we talking about the standard microwave, maybe a hotplate and an electric water heating device or coffee pot? Pots, pans & a spat, or some basic microwave tools? Is refrigeration available? Are items from vending machines to be considered basic sources of foodstuffs? To what extent will this be supplimented with purchased items from mainstream grocery?

Dish about the dishware.

if there is a specific requirement, let us know.

I could have an appendix called "Special challenges: Cooking after the utilities are disconnected"

6. Under beverages...
Aqua de plumbo...
This is really a simple way to deal with drinks...

Remember lefty-loosee, rightee tightee

In a real pinch lift the cover on the toilet tank and dip into reservoir.

7. Aqua de plumbo???????
another low, low trick....

brag about your cooking abilities to a woman who has an apartment with friends.....insult her abilities until she invites you for dinner to prove her superiority....don't push it by asking for a doggy bag....

8. well, I could have just given it a gratuitous kick...
So here is another tip...

The flowers of day-lilies are edible. Property owners may not like you grazing in their flower beds so I recommend you feed at on-campus flower beds.
