3. The standard trick is to go to libraries or bookstores

and check out the books of people whose stuff at least somewhat resembles yours, especially their first books when they're still feeling grateful, and check the acknowledgments/thank yous for a literary agent. Or go and become a famous standup comedian, which seems the only way to get a humor book published these days.
