4. I think it might fail for a variety of reasons, but
Edited on Wed Nov-10-04 04:28 PM by lightbulb
the biggest one is probably this:

Talk radio junkies are typically folks who don't have much going on inside their heads when not being exposed to constant external jabbering, and thus have plenty of room and tolerance for said jabbering. People who generally find talk radio abrasive or annoying except in small doses are those who already have a good deal of activity going on upstairs and don't need to constantly add to it from the outside. Conservatives generally fall into the former empty-headed category, while liberals fall into the later, thoughtful category.

Just a little homespun theory based on observation and personal experience.

6. now we just need friggin Hartford!
I spit farther than the range of the station they just added in New Haven (with Ed Schultz following Franken)

On the bright side, last night, I to run down to the New Haven area to pick up an XMas gift for my wife (last one in stock...) and I was able to hear three, count 'em three, liberal talk radio shows: Randi Rhodes on WLIB out of NYC... Schultz on 1300 WAVZ out of New Haven... and Colin McEnroe on 50,000 Watt flamethrower WTIC 1080 in Hartford.

7. They really need to move into markets
in the heart of the red states where small radio stations ONLY have Rush, Hannity, O'Reilly, and the rest of the facist radio network on 24 hrs. a day. It's one of the reason some of those "red states" are so ignorant.

10. Looking at those red/blue population adjusted maps
It's obvious that AAR would do well in practically every big city in America. Tap into those veins AAR.

17. Excellent.
I've noticed that they're spreading the boradcasts first to Swing States and states that Lean Blue. I am quite pleased with this. And with the high ratings that AAR has been getting!

If I ran the world, the next broadcast sites would be in Ohio, Arkansas, Missouri, Florida, West Virginia, Virginia, and Iowa! Happy happy, joy joy!
