Why is Moonbeam so happy? Why can't she wipe the smile off her face?

Here's why:

Netscape Radio has a station that plays NOTHING but Classic Christmas songs ALL FREAKING DAY LONG.

And while I'm in my car, 97.1 has officially started their 24/7 Holiday Music marathon that runs through the new year.

ALSO....

It has now been a little over a week (as of this morning) that I have watched ANY news in the visual media. I also have not touched a newspaper in that time. Not something I would normally be proud of (reading is good) but I've come to realize both papers I have easy access to truly are right wing pimpazoids. And the NYT is too expensive.

So I have gotten bits and pieces of the news on DU.

Also, I haven't heard *'s voice, seen his face or heard his name spoken out loud in a week. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh.

I also gave up, about three weeks ago, a website that used to be good and was slowly being taken over by freepers. Then the site owner came out as a big ol' freeper and that did it for me. I haven't been back and it FEELS SO GOOD! (I frequented that place for years, literally.)

Also I had Sonic for lunch today. 100% of their political contributions go to Dems and the owners are Dems.

I haven't spent any money unnecessarily since * stole the election. Screw the economy.

My shitty * voting neighbors/former friends have obviously gotten the message that I am shunning them and they haven't even attempted to communicate with me, past the one very condescending answering machine message I never replied to.

I cut off my land line phone, saving $55 a month. Two cell phones are more than sufficient. That felt good, too!

The election totally SUCKED, but it has spurred me to do some things I might not have normally. I'm still too angry and bitter to call it a silver lining, but there it is.
