Someone is ugly or brainless simply because I think they are wrong. The first step in defeating someone is knowing what they are good at and what would piss them off and have them stop thinking. In Coulter's case it's someone who has more facts than she does. Insulting her or throwing pies at her is exactly what she's looking for.
