This Arafat ordeal, reminds me of a joke
I know, I'm insensitive, so sue me!

2 guys are talking, and one says:
"You know, my grandfather died"
"Wow, what happened?"
"Well, there was a fire in his apartment building"
"So he died in the fire?"
"No, he jumped out in time."
"Oh, so he jumped to his death?"
"No, there was a trampoline on the ground, he bounced off back into the house"
"Wow, so he did burn in the fire?"
"Nope, he jumped back out."
"So he did fall to his death?"
"Nope, bounced of the trampline again, back into the house"
"So he burned alive?"
"No, the firemen got so sick of him going back and forth, they shot him."

Sorry to sound so cruel, but every half hour its a different story, just turn off the machine, let the man die in peace...

2. Munah and powers...
I'm convinced he's already dead, but his French wife doesn't want to relinquish control over the PLO or the money Arafat managed to squirrel away into unknown bank accounts. Supposedly, there's 1.2 billion (that's billion with a "b") floating around out there somewhere.

5. Yeah, that only Arafat could access.
And once he's gone...they're all screwed.

3. there was a variation of this on Curb Your Enthusiasm
Someone was talking to Larry and said 'My father died on 911'

Larry says 'Oh I'm sorry,' then asks a question about whether he was in a plane or what floor he was on.

The person says, no, he had a stroke.

I could have been a heart attack, I can't remember, the point was, he didn't die IN the 911 attacks, just on 911 itself.

6. So . . .
so now they don't feel as sorry for him, do they?

One of the guys I used to know in the Navy was moping around one morning, trying to work up enough sympathy for himself to get emergency leave, and have Navy Relief pay for it, if possible - by telling everybody that his mother had died. When he got to the Chief, he said "So what? I didn't kill her."
Shocked, we all laughed, including the guy - so his cover was blown.
