Jack Daniel's

I'm wondering how many DU'ers out there enjoy Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey.

A lot of my friends think it's utterly disgusting, but others swear by it. How does it stack up when compared to other whiskys?

7. Wild Turkey 80 proof...Henry McKenna is a decent lower price sour mash.

Jack Daniels is fine mash.

Knob Creek
Maker's Mark
Wild Turkey
Jack Daniels
Jim Beam (cannot drink on the rocks; immediately "waters down")

As I sip my Wild Turkey tonight, I realize I'll have to start trying to find some "Blue Bourbons," as most bourbons I know of are made in red states that went for Shrub.

12. I've been a Jack freak for 22 years

Never got sick from it or sick of it... even when it was 90 proof back in the day...

Try the Single Barrel they make, which is pricey, but smoother than charcoal silk and 94 proof.

13. Love that Jack...

It is an aquired taste. I've tried Maker's Mark and Wild Turkey. They were a little different, so I didn't get into them.

I prefer JD Single Barrel, usually with a Coke chaser.

It should never be polluted with coca-cola, but if I'm having it and have to drive, I will compromise and have it heavily watered down.

...the fire, listening to Roger Waters and David Gilmour solo albums.

Haven't had a drink since the early 1990s, but if you're gonna wreck your life, might as well wreck it with Jack.
