1. I loved Guy Fawkes night when I was a kid in the UK
Having fireworks in July was a major culture shock! You're supposed to be huddled around a blazing bonfire setting off the fireworks on a cold dark November night. We used to put potatoes in the embers and serve them up burnt on the outside and raw within.

Oh happy days!! :D
