Many of those red counties are virtually uninhabited. Land area doesn't vote; people do.

16. All the counties that are so rural that people have nothing better to do
than go listen to their homophobic, misogynist, bigoted preacher every Sunday morning and Wednesday night. Not to mention church suppers, youth groups, revivals and Friday night fag-bashings.
