to 2000. Bush won Iowa and New Mexico which were close in 2000, and Kerry won New Hampshire which was also close. I think Bush's increase in the popular vote is the population increases in his 2000 states.

However, I am a little suprised he increased his margin by 8 million votes. I wonder why these 8 million are that didn't support him in 2000.

1. It's the so-called "Evangelical" vote.
Sunday night, while I was listening to the Bears-49ers game on the radio, a commercial announced that 4.5 "Evangelicals" didn't vote for Bush in the last presidential election. The announcement continued that if these 4.5 "Evangelicals" had voted in 2000 the Florida recount wouldn't have occurred. The radio station that broadcasts the Chicago Bear games around here has a "Christian" programing format.

The bastards have been campaigning from the pulpit.

Most the the population growth in Iowa has been Hispanic of late.
