4. At least I didn't get hit with a brick
I'm taking William Pitt's unfortunate event to heart. I'm alive, trying to suppress what feels like hate swelling in my gut. I still have to go to work, not get fired for mistreating Fundie bastards in my office (or in traffic, and getting arrested). I'm angry...and waiting for my marching orders. In this forum, I'm no leader, so I'll do what others need me to do.

8. I feel more alive than ever
I don't think I've ever been more passionate and focused in my opposition to anything. Ever.

No one wanted this fight. But we got it. Let's go.

9. me too.
i KNOW this has been rigged. We needed to fix it and now it is just too late.

There is a small, ever so small, chance that it will still go our way but I dont hold out too much hope.

Im afraid we are FUBAR. So I coin a new word to decribe Amerika under total BFEE control.

FusaR = USA Fucked up beyond all repair.

10. I guess I am a naive asshole
because I really believe Kerry would win big.. I thought the Repubs would do their best to steal the election but was convinced the American people would not let them get away with it twice... I am stunned right now..

12. I don't know, they may have stolen it again.
It really doesn't make sense to me. Huge new voter turnout usually doesn't favor the incumbent and they've fucked with shit before so why not now?

15. You may have been naive
for having trust in the people to do what's right.

But you are NOT an ass hole. The ass holes are those that voted Yes on gay marriage amendments and for Bush. Fuck those ass holes.

You believed in what was right. You had faith in humanity. You are not an ass hole.

13. I feel pretty much the same as you
My stomach is sick...but I'm still holding up.

The past few days I had told myself that this race could go either way and I had to accept reality either way...I had resigned myself to the strong possibility that Bush would win. If I was as convinced as some others that this would definetely be a landslide it would have been a million times more difficult for me.

That doesn't make it easy though. Florida is the biggest disappointment. I can't believe it was a fuckin 5 point margin. That and only 2 senate pick ups.

The rest of the week will be difficult. I hope everyone holds up OK.

17. Feeling like it's 1939.
And have been practicing my hand salute. Let's see...move the arm at a 70 degree angle, and extend the middle finger at the totalitarian fucks who stole our country. I really was hoping America would last longer and that we wouldn't be dragged into the fascism that Europe was in the 1930's. Ah well.

20. Morning
Were there beautiful mornings in Germany
When the orange rising promised hope
And the restless wind teased the leaves from their trees
And innocents were starved and gassed

Mornings bright and strong
All across the south
When human beings were bought and sold and beaten and raped
In the face of beautiful mornings

My country is dead
The morning is bright and strong

24. this is how i feel
I've never been more ashamed to be an american than I am today. We live in a country full of ignorance and I can't fathom why people feel happy shrouded in stupidity. I don't understand how we could have voted to allow so many things to slide in the next four years. increased toxic emissions in the air, continued dependency on foreign fuel, increasing debt, increasing unemployment, war, increasing poverty rates, destruction of our national alaskan refuge, the appointing of conservative justices who will overturn Roe v. Wade, no rights for homosexuals, no healthcare plan for all americans, nothing. Maybe I had too much faith in the system. I shouldn't have. I don't want to live in a country like this. This election has sucked life from me I didn't even know I had, but I am too disenfranchised with both Republicans and Democrats right now. I don't know what this country needs or how to go about getting it, I don't know where we are headed, nor do I want to think about it. I am not at peace, and I need to be.

Where can I go to find it?

26. angry, irate, ashamed
that when this country had the chance to show the rest of the world that we really were not about Bush we let them down.

How can we say that Bush does not represent the real America when if you look at the color coded electoral map it's primarily redneck red?
