Cleveland Clinic Prepares to do Face Transplants
http://www.cnn.com/2004/HEALTH/11/01/face.transplant.ap/index.html

Says it's for burn victims. Also a risk of rejection. What the hell do you do if your new face is rejecting, would they remove it and leave you with no face?

2. I have all the sympathy in the world for burn victims
but that just sounds creepy. It's like the movie "Face/Off." I assume they get the donor faces from cadavers. How'd you like to see your dead relative's face on someone else? Ewwwwww.

3. I saw a thing about that on Discovery channel or something
I saw the possible first recipient - she was very nervous about possibly being the first.

It was very interesting to hear the details about it...

4. It would be amazing if it actually works.
But a 50% rejection rate is pretty high. Which is worse: to be horribly disfigured, or to have a new face only to have it taken from you due to complications? It's still a long way away.

7. And again, we see W's desperate attempt to keep hold in the WH
Wouldn't surprise me if W loses, he looks into this . . .
