1. summer, nothing - winter, enough to make it to the bathroom
without freezing off important parts - YES, it does get chilly in N CA and we keep our heater at 56 at night.

22. well
I used to live in England, and I slept raw there, too.

Cold isn't an issue for me anyway. I've got a lot of Scots blood in me. I used to walk around in knee deep snow wearing a light shirt and, if the wind was blowing, a vest.

This is a great time of year for us, because we have very low power bills. Summer is brutal, I have to keep the A/C going 24/7. :D

Seriously, this is one of the strongest things men have going for them. You're nice to snuggle up next to. Better than an extra blanket.

26. LOL
yes, pants or a kilt.

There are reports from the Middle Ages of highlanders walking around in nothing but boots, kilt, and shirt, in the dead of winter. When they decided to sleep, they'd burrow down in the snow, wrap themselves in their wool kilt (those things have a LOT of fabric) and go to sleep.

There's a reason the Romans built a wall at the north of England and declared that the end of the world.

Clearly the Romans never got to northern Canada. (Full disclosure, either have I.)

My brother worked in a place called Tuktoyaktuk one year. He had a job delivering water. This was long before the bottled water craze. They couldn't pipe the water in - too cold? The real end of the world.

Before the Scots, there were the Picts.

The poor Roman legions. They just couldn't handle hordes of maniacs who went into battle naked, painted blue, screaming and throwing spears and diving into the Roman formations with wild abandon.

Drove them bonkers, so they threw up a wall. They conquered the "known world" by declaring Scotland to not be part of it.

Rather neo-con, if you think about it.

32. Explains the blue make-up Mel wore in Braveheart
The movie is on my list, but I haven't seen it yet.

I'm not sure how well I'd handle a horde of blue-painted maniacs who were screaming and throwing spears at me with wild abandon. The Canadian in me says politely and with humour, but I am part Italian (from Rome no less) so who knows.

47. Heh
Mel had no right to wear blue paint (actually it was woad, a natural dye, that the Picts used). Scots didn't paint themselves blue, Picts did. He just thought it looked good.

That was the beginning of the end for me with Mel.

I had huge problems with that film. I mean, the final battle at Sterling Bridge, and there was no bridge. This is like having D-Day in Nebraska or something. The whole point of the battle was the bloody bridge.

For a very, very good view of Scotland historically, I recommend the film Rob Roy, starring Liam Neeson. Fantastic film.

54. Actually the colder it is, the more sense it makes
I grew up in Vermont and did a lot of cold weather camping. SOP was to sleep naked and shove your clothes down to the bottom of your sleeping bag. Having no clothes on, your body heat has no impediments to warming the entire area, including your clothes at the bottom which are nice and toasty in the morning.

I've slept in nothing at all since I was a teenager. Much warmer and more comfortable.

41. Depends
No, not the adult diaper. In the summer, my skin. In the winter, silk jammies. This morning, after a 13 hour work night (damn the time change!) I fell asleep in my work clothes. Luckily, I'm a nurse, so that means I fell asleep in scrubs - not so bad, really.

It also depends on whether one of my partners happens to be sharing my bed. I'm far more likely to go nekkid if the snuggly one is with me. He's a heater so I don't get cold, even in the winter.

When I sleep with "company"...usually I wear nothing. ;)

In the winter, flannel pj bottoms and a tank top or a long sleeve shirt if it gets really cold.

sometimes nightshirt and undies, sometimes only undies, sometimes as Eve must have slept before she got all embarrassed and shit. Just depends on a whim. I have weird tactile issues so sometimes the night shirt bugs the shit out of me, getting all twisted up around me and stuff. I cut the collars and tags off of shirts, that's how weird I am.

Mr. Moonbeam seems to think it is against his religion to sleep in any clothing, year round. That's ok, he's furry so he keeps me warm.

As a matter of fact, we both started sleeping au naturale after we started dating each other.
