"Home" coming up in the next hour. That would be 3pm pacific on WGN.

Truly a classic.

"Home" was considered too graphic for television.

Episode: Home
#4X03
Writer: Glen Morgan and James Wong
Director: Kin Manners
An investigation into infanticide in an idyllic small town leads Mulder and Scully to an even more appalling discovery. A family deformed by inbreeding into a feral murderous clan.

8. "Home" Was Interesting . . .
Edited on Sun Oct-31-04 04:35 PM by DarthDem
. . . but certainly not the series' best, in my opinion.

The X-Files was a mixed bag. I didn't get much out of the alien backstory episode chain (especially later), because it never really seemed to go anywhere, despite some clever moments along the way. I preferred the standalones, my favorite of which was "Folie A Deux." Great episode. "Millennium," the wrapup of the quasi-spinoff show (which was some incredible TV), was also a very good ep.

The movie, incidentally, was a colossal disappointment. As far as I can remember, they never drew, used, or even displayed their weapons in the whole film. Don't get me wrong, I know that the X-Files was not a cop show, but the movie could have been about two insurance defense attorneys instead of FBI agents. Weird.
