13. Welcome to DU.
Can you tell me where the Redskins/Packers game is being broadcast? I can't find it on any of the channels I get and am depending on DU for the score updates. Thanks!

7. How does it go?
Redskins loss is loss for incumbent? I heard something on the radio the other day but missed the explanation.

10. Redskins win = Bush.
Packers win = Kerry.

For the last I-dont-know-how-many years.

12. Last 17 Elections...
When the Redskins win their last home game before an election, the incumbent (asshole) wins.

If the Redskins lose their last home game before the election, the challenger (Kerry) wins.

GO PACKERS!!!

And I'm a lifelong Chicago Bear fan. I'd rather have dental work than this...but hey, ya gotta take one for the team :bounce:

I know several rabid, lifelong Yankees fans who rooted for the Red Sox for political reasons, so I know exactly what you're going through. You have a good heart! :toast:

14. Olberman did a piece on it
The last Redskins home game before the election has correctly predicted the winner of the last 17 presidential elections. If the Skins win- then the party in power stays in power. Skins lose, the incumbent party is out. Obviously, there can be no real connection between the two- but 17 in a row is a CREEPY coincidence. It goes all the way back to the thirties when they were the Boston Redskins. Go CHEESEHEADS!

19. rotflmao

truly

kerry should use it -- it would be a humanizing reminder of what this election is all about and it would galvanize memories of 2000

but i hear that some GOP thugs are busy trying to keep the packers' special teams guys from taking the field for a conversion
