3. Yeah, but my husband can't stand her voice.
So I don't get to watch as much as I'd like.

A few weeks ago, she placed an ad in the paper as a private social consultant. She showed up at a designated address, and it turned out that this party was expecting a stripper! What really finished it off, though, was that she sent her husband back to go get her father!

I've only seen As Time Goes By a few times. Have you seen the series Floyd's War, or something like that, set in WWII?

4. Ah yes, Hyacinth and Richard. Daisy, Rose and Onslow. I love that show.
It's been a Saturday night escape for me for a long time.

And the Red Green Show. I've seen them so many times I can almost do the dialog.

6. RRRRRRRICHARD!
I love it when she rolls those r's! lol!

Funny story. I used to work with a guy named Richard at a hospital. We had a British patient whose knees I was taking x-rays of. So anyway, I called-out for Richard to ask if he'd develop the films for me while I took the rest of them, and when I called for him, I did it in a Hyacinth-like voice.

Well, the patient recognized it and began to laugh and laugh and laugh.. lol!

7. I love it!
Unfortunately, our local station appears to have a limited number of episodes, so I've seen them all multiple times. Trivia connection: Hyacinth was in a mystery series on PBS called Hetty Wainthropp Investigates, in which the musician with the drug problem on LOST co-starred (he was also in the LOTR series). Many people have made that connection no doubt, but Routledge (Hyacinth) was Little Mary Sunshine in the original London cast. So she CAN sing! Of course to sing as badly as she does on the show you have to have a bit of talent, strange as that seems.

16. Our local classical station found a CD of Patricia Routledge
singing in the 1960s. In those days, at least, she had quite a good voice.

10. Love it
The only problem is that the stations that carry it (PBS & BBCA) play the same damned espisodes over and over and over again. I finally went to the official website and discovered that there's something like 50 (I'm guessing) episodes, but I only see the same 10 or 15 over and over and over und uber.......

11. Okay....
My wife and I never miss it -- even though it is OLD and forgotten now... our PBS shows it and we adore it!!! I have a cyber friend in England who says it was a fave there for a long time... now other shows have come in, but never one like that. Although I do love "Waiting for God" and "As Times Goes By"!!!

12. Did you just discover it?
If so, you might find it a bit tiring after a while. We love to joke around when we watch it thus:

"Oooo, I wonder if Onslo is going to embarrass Hyacinth?"

"I wonder if Daddy is going to run away or try to marry some old lady or be a streaker again?"

"I wonder if Richard is going to be henpecked by Hyacinth this time?"

"Wonder if Rose will wear some super short skirt?"

Etc.
