It was my post about "Leaving America" when Dan Rather caved on the AWOL
story.

(Found this out when some person claimed the "Gummit" was "pinging" their website last night on their "Firewall" and a poster on the thread said we DU'ers might be surprised if we did a "Google" on our DU nicknames.}

Well...I did...and there are folks using my posts all over the Internet.

I'm thinking about "copywriting" every damn thing I post here, if these "freeptard hacks" want to use my posts to get viewers to their sites...

was creeped out about with MY name on posts. Heard more crap about who was a "troll" and whatever on DU than I ever wanted to know...to listen to them, DU is crawling with trolls who have nothing better to do than come into DU Lounge...rack up posts and then come out and trash us then go back to their caves where the "knuckle draggers dwell" and rant about their "escapades" on DU where all of us are wimpy, idiots...clueless folk (folks like KoKo01) who post stuff that's so bizarre and filled with hyperbole that one wonders when the "straight jackets" are going to be applied.

Who are these gross idiots. And, why would they spend time here on DU in the first place and then go back into their filthy caves and chuckle and gloat when our whole damned country is going to hell.

Maybe they are those folks in the "over $200,000 bracket "skeered" to death that Kerry is going to tax their crooked rewards from the Stock Market Swindling or they are laid off Bankers and Hedge Fund/Mortgage Loan Shops....or maybe they are just clueless folks in their local libraries who somehow managed to learn to use AOL and find some RW web site...but really...it's hard to believe we are supposed to live in a civilized world in an enlightened time...if folks have to resort to posting my DU rants around to get hits...UGH!

7. Unfortunately, it's part and parcel of the internet experience

Those of us who grew up with BBS's in the 80s (especially Fidonet and CitaNet), Usenet in college (before it sucked) or IRC in the 90s (before it too sucked) have learned that sometimes you just have to have a thick skin about it. I know that doesn't ease the shock and pain of having your innermost sacred thoughts ridiculed by imbeciles with the sensitivity of a boulder. There's just not much you can do about it other than keeping a very sharp distinction between your net persona and your real life self. Also, it doesn't hurt to use a different nick for each place you post.

Now, if you've been using the internet or the web for a long time, google previous nicks you've used. It's usually good for a laugh (if you don't die of embarrassment) at some of the really naive, stupid or just plain boneheaded things you might have said in the past and forgotten about. I know I really cringe at some of the idiotic questions and statements I've made on Usenet groups when I was a Linux newbie!

At the very least, try to cheer yourself up by thinking about how much amusement anybody with half a brain gets reading those cretins' posts. :-)

I too was surprised to find my moniker all over google. I was only picked up once by a freep colony. The rest of the stuff on google was mostly all the posts I've posted HERE.

A few were from other sites and one was an email profile..though the profile wasn't complete with every single detail, thank goodness. I find it all rather disturbing---not the part about freep sites monitoring us, but the part about search engines picking up my data; what the hell is that good for anyway?

I'm happy to learn from the professionals in here that I should be more careful about what I disclose. Thanks for that.

outed about a year ago and not by me. I had never been to a freeper site until tonight. C-Span and that interview and my deal with CNN. C-Span pointed everything about me on that interview ..I mean everything. CNN had my name and when I put out the CD, I thought What the heck, they already know me. I am there. Just sorry you all have been outed. About myself, and outing DU didn't do it, I didn't do it but actually I was outed back in 2000 when I went and ate with VP Gore and Tipper and it made the newspaper and the editor was a winger on all of those sites. Oh Well. We were fighting on my thread on GD with the freepers when the thread got locked. I went in on their turf and took it to them ! I was so angry about Mari 333. Funny part is, I did call Falwell at Liberty Uiversity and of course the freepers sent me hate mail and said I didn't talk to the Chancellor and that the secretary said a crazy woman was screaming. What a bunch of hooey. I quoted scripture and she lied because I talked to someone who sounded like Jerry Blinky Falwell and said he was the Chancellor and was just coming out of a meeting. Whether it was , she lied either to me or to the Freepers. One thing for sure we know that bunch never lies or makes mistakes . She was Covering her butt for not screening better is my bet. Oh Well !
