Can anyone explain The Red and Green Show to me(PBS)
I don't get who this is geared toward or why it should be funny.

4. Oh I dunno.
I've gotten some tremendous belly laughs from The Red Green Show before, and I live close to that other border, Mexico. I don't watch RG often enough, though.

I don't know what's wrong with you. :)

7. it just is
It kind of grows on you like a bad fungus. Then you realize the fifth time you are watching it you are making some sort of noise, and then you realize its laughter. You stop watching for a couple of weeks out of sheer horror and then inevitably you find yourself making things out of duct tape in front of the television.

/only has two TV stations without cable. Fox and PBS

9. Maybe it's the canned laughter or my age
I'm 35 and I too young? Maybe I need a lot of land, I live in the city.

11. We went to a live taping
in Hamilton Ontario. It was one of the most fun nights ever. We all laughed so hard our guts hurt. The 'men' of course had to buy red green suspenders and tapes of a lot of episodes. It's brilliant! Pure relief from the horrors of the world. Steve Smith (Red) is one of the nicest men I've ever met. He spent a LOT of time just talking with the audience. They take guys from the audience and put them in the Lodge as members, giving each one a vest and having them as a group recite "Quando Omni Flunkus Moritati" "If all else fails, play dead"

Pat McKenna, (Harold) plays in another show, as a lawyer I believe .. hmmm I can't think of the name of it though. He's very dashing in real life.

It's a spoof on self reliant folks living in remote places. I love it!

13. I don't find it funny at all...
...but humor is an extremely subjective thing. I prefer SCTV.

Watch an episode from season two or three.

15. I think it's possible that the name of the show also refers to the most
common type of color-blindness that men have, which is red-green type. Almost no women are thus afflicted.

chain saw. You must have never lived in the country. Haven't seen it for a while. Not on my PBS station anymore.

I remember when I found out that all the outdors scenes were taped in southeastern Manitoba.
