Any Greyhound adopters on the board?

I have a 7 y.o female retired racer..just wondering if there are any others here?

once I graduate school--my dorm room is kinda too small. ;-) I think it's a great program, though.

2. I used to have two

I actually used to work at a greyhound track and I took two of my dogs home. I got out of it because of the horrible waste of dogs - I loved the work and loved the dogs but it made me too sad.

My girls were wonderful. They make such good pets and they can learn to get along with all your other pets. I even had a pet rabbit at one time who was loose in the house (she was box trained) and the greyhounds and cats and other dogs all got along fine with her.

They are such a sweet and loving breed. Thank you for adopting one and welcome to DU. :hi:

3. I owned

two of them from the Jacksonville Kennel Club in Florida. ON of them has since passed and the other is living on a ranch in Texas now.

45 mph couch potatoes!! Both retired racers, identical brothers. Very sweet demeanor and our favorite dogs ever.
